Priya had several years of experience in software testing but wanted to understand how Generative AI could be incorporated into software applications. Her initial exposure was mainly through AI assistants and productivity tools, so she decided to develop stronger technical knowledge.
After joining the Gen AI Classes in Velachery, she worked through Python fundamentals, prompt engineering, LLM APIs, embeddings, RAG, and AI workflow concepts. Her main project involved creating an internal support assistant that could retrieve information from a collection of technical documents and generate responses based on the available content.
While working on the project, Priya learned to document how preparation, retrieval, prompting, and model responses all connect. She also got better at explaining the architecture and technical choices behind her application.
With guidance on refining her resume and presenting her project experience, she secured a position as an AI Quality Assurance Tester, where she could apply her existing testing experience alongside her newly developed Generative AI skills.
The training helped her create a capstone project that showed her move from traditional testing to AI application development.
